10 on Tuesday

1. You're never too old to have a Nestle's Quick chocolate milk.
2. I took Maya's DVD's back to the library today- a day overdue. One of them was missing the disc- it's still in the DVD player....UGH!
3. Why are there people in life that always have to find something to complain about? What's wrong with sharing the happinesses?
4. Emmit Smith is so charming when he dances I laughed out loud tonight. Can I say WOW!
5. I am a tad excited that Halloween has now come to a close. Try teaching dance to 3-10 year olds this last week? Can I say Sugar high!
6. The house is at 65. My nose is cold, I try turning it up a bit, but somehow, it keeps getting turned back down.....hmmmm
7. I may be holding my first Thanksgiving Dinner at my house this year. Excited, but also a bit nervous...any good stuffing recipes out there?
8. Today Maya took a dance class with my 4 and 5 year olds. One of the little girls said- your baby is really good! It made my day!
9. Ben witnessed his first "DAD- leave me alone". Well- it wasn't like that, but Maya was holding pretend conversations under her tent(the card table) with her "guys"(halloween figurines from a goody bag) . Ben was working at the card table at the time and crooked his head down to watch her play. Maya caught him peeking and said,"Daddy- back up there." Shooing him away. Too funny- but bittersweet as we watch our little 2 year old growing up.
10. I'm tired- good nite!

Fall Photo Fun...

So we had a mini photo shoot out in the yard today. It was a beautiful fall afternoon with the sun shining and the temp back up to 50. (where it should be at this time of year) Anyway- couldn't resist snapping some shots of the girl in her deleriously happy state. Ok- not some, like about 56, but who's counting! Anyway- she reminded me what it was like to jump in a pile of leaves for the first time. Sheer joy!

10 on Tuesday

1. I believe the healthy fairy has finally touched our house.
2. Pumpkin chocolate chip bars are so yummy- half the pan is gone and I made them on Sunday. No we didn't half it- I made the 9X13.
3. I am going to be an auntie again(see here!)
4. Why are Ugg's so expensive?
5. Loving Corinne Bailey and KT Tunstall.
6. Have I mentioned the Emmit Smith on Dancing with the Stars ROCKS!
7. Broke down and ordered this today. Never had a real winter coat. I still have the one I had in college. (8 years later) I got the chocolate brown one.
8. Maya says "that funny" She can really make a joke. The other day she called Ben, "Uncle Ben," I mean- who wouldn't if they were with their cousins day in and day out calling her daddy Uncle Ben. Anyway he said "No- I'm daddy." So she looks at me and says, "Uncle Mommy" (insert sinister laughter here) and says"that funny".
9. My poor little sister is getting a cap on her front tooth tomorrow. She plays tennis for Mercyhurst College and overswung on her followthrough at the net and hit her mouth with her tennis racquet.
10. The weather report for Halloween weekend is rain and cold. Please let it not be true!

Weekend Bliss...

What a fabulous weekend! We finally didn't have anything on the calendar for three straight days. Friday night - pizza and a movie. Saturday- morning hike and pumpkin patch and a fun date night with friends Marie and BJ. Sunday - my mom came and visited, out to lunch, baked Susie's pumpkin bars with chocolate chips and banana bread, drank coffee, napped and even scrapped a bit!
I am simply in awe and amazed at the colors this fall. When I looked up through the trees on our hike, I couldn't help but think there is no doubt that only God can color our world like this. We are so blessed by His creation and all its glory! Fall is my absolute favorite season.

10 on Tuesday

1. I am so tired that I forgot what month it was today.
2.It was cold and rainy today, very rainy. So cold and rainy that I had a French Vanilla cappucino this morning and a cup of Pampered Chef coffee this afternoon. That helped the tiredness.
3. Maya has strep throat.
4. Why do you have to WAIT at the dr.'s office so long? We spent way too much time there today.
5. Maya hates her medicine. I have to chase her around the room as she runs, closing her eyes and purses her lips together. UGH!
6. Tried some new wings during a meeting of the Marquette Moms tonight. A meeting which I forgot about(see #1) and they were FABULOUS! Garlic, onion and some kind of dry cheese rub on top.
7. Did I mention how good the wings were? So good that I brought some home and Mr. I'm in bed at 9:30 had to get himself back out of bed and come and eat them.
8. Yes, I did get home at 9:30 at night from work. Where does the day go?
9. Emmit Smith rocked Dancin with the Stars tonight. He just makes me smile when he dances. Gotta love a huge football playin man doin some ballroom!
10. My list of things to do at the dance studio is seriously so long I could trip on it. But here I am procrastinating and blogging away.

Ten on Tuesday

1. Ok so it's the very first minute on Wednesday morning, but I haven't gone to bed yet, so it's still Tuesday.
2. I am still awake because I just got home from PAINTING!
3. I really don't see the weekend being an end for this dance studio move.
4. Maya has a cold/cough and is gunky and runny and just plain yucky.
5. Found a great chocolate brown body pillow at Target today on clearance!
6. Made a kick #%* stromboli today with pepperoni and italian sausage.
7. Didn't get to eat it because I was PAINTING!
8. I decided today that I am going to help people more- out of the goodness of my heart. There needs to be more of that in the world today.
9. Thank you to my friends(you know who you are). They always show up when you need them.
10. Anyone want to PAINT?

Changing...

I've always felt that change is a good thing. There is a lot of change in my life right now. The dance studio is about to make a big move to a much needed roomier space. The only bad thing about this change is that I am spending all of my waking hours painting, cleaning, moving, phone calling and address changing. It's a shame that life doesn't stand still while you're trying to accomplish something. I still have to run the current studio while trying to move it at the same time. One week, one week from today we will be in, the walls will be painted the gas, electric and phone will all be in my name and hooked up. The floor will be in, the carpet laid, the parents and dancers happy. Ahhh- life will be good.

1. I love bologna rolled up with ketchup in the middle, in fact, I am eating that right now.
2. I still have my Raggedy Andy from birth. He sits by my bedside. I think Ben is a tad jealous.
3. I still cry when watching Full House. Especially when the sappy music comes on and they have that Daddy/Daughter talk. Love that show!
4. I hate to run. I always came in last in the mile during gym class. I despise it.
5. I used to have 57 posters of Debbie Gibson on the walls in my room growing up. Yup- loved her! Even made a dance video with a friend that our mom's video taped. We made up like 2 of our own and then memorized the Electric Youth dance from her video. We danced them onstage at the local park ampitheater. A month later, my friend won a contest on the radio and got to fly out to CA to see Debbie in concert and meet her. Yup- she gave her our video tape. As you can see, we didn't reach quite the stardom that we wanted, nothing came about from the video. Oh well- childhood stories.........
