Ok computer geniuses...

What is the difference between a file size of K or k?
How do I save a picture to be 500k?
Is K equal to KB?
What is MB?
I just really want to save a picture at 500k...that's the small k....
Help!

i think the small k is kilobyte, and that it's the same as a kb or a K. though i have no idea for sure.

ah yes, i am right. look at this wiki article for more.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kilobyte

the small k is an outdated abbreviation for kilobyte.

Yes, K = KB = k.
If you are trying to send a photo, like through email, you can lower the dpi (dots per inch) to get a smaller amount of data (or kb).
The fewer dpi then the fewer kb.
There is a great article on 2peas by Chris Ford about file size and such that might be helpful.

Email me if that doesn't clear it up for you.
