Missed Tuesday so....
13 on Thursday
1. Why are people scared of the number 13? It can't really be that bad, right. Just add the 1 and 3 together, which makes 4 -an even number- and wha-lah! Ok- it must be late cuz this is how my brain is workin right now folks.
2. Tried to make a pumpkin roll today, but realized I was out of powdered sugar. Made a mental note- must never be out of powdered sugar.
3. I looked at the laundryoverflowingdirtybathroomworkdeskamessfulldishwasherandbagofstufftoreturntotarget and promptly left my house for some bagels and coffee with a friend.
4. Today I got my hair done. Ok- so the story is I have made three appointments for this since September. The first one I cancelled due to Maya being sick, the second- me being sick, and the third-just plain tired from the big dance studio move(which I need to post pictures, but it's really not done yet so just hang on). So I called yesterday and actually got an appointment with MY STYLIST for today! Yes! Cut, color and highlights here I come! So does all that make up for the cost of the hairdo? I think so! PS- thank you Rachel for being a saving grace and watching my daughter for a bit. I know- this number 4 is so long, but don't you just love getting your hair washed by someone else? AND.......today(well this month) was a special free deep conditioning treatment! SCORE!
5. I am so proud of Emmitt Smith. I know, Mario was the better dancer and I am a dancer and should want Mario to win because of the impeccable technique he displays. But I am a sucker for presentation and growth of a dancer from start to finish (well, there's never a finish), but you know what I mean. He sparkles on that dance floor! Yay for him!
6. Only number 6- holy cow, I've written a book already, ummmm.....Maya tries to tie shoes by herself. "Mommy- Maya do it!" So she takes one shoestring in each hand and moves her little arms back and forth. It is halarious and I have to turn my head so she doesn't see me cracking up because her face is as serious as can be.
7. I am in love with scrapbooking all over again today. Picked up a couple new magazines and can't wait to try some new things! Yay to Marie- fun seeing her name mentioned twice in the Nov/Dec issue of SS!
8. My little sister is visiting her boyfriend's family this weekend for the first time. ooooooooh- I just feel so nervous for her. She is a junior in college and is simply a fabulous tennis player/thinker/kind hearted/future seeking/trendy dressin incredible gal!
9. Go Bucks this weekend!
10. Somebody needs to stop the crazy parents of a 2 year old from buying the whole toy section of Amazon.com! I have yet to hit checkout on my whale of a Christmas cart. I just click save cart everytime. I have a feeling this year- it's really going to be SO MUCH FUN!
11. Almost there- So who knows some songs that have to do with Around the World? Our 2006-07 dance recital theme is Around the world in (blank #) songs...so we are looking for music that has names of any place in the world, good ethnic music, music that has some history, singers from other countries...you name it. Want to help us pick out some? What do you know?
12. I better hurry as it's 11:59 and almost not Thursday anymore.
13. Have a great weekend and hope to get some pictures up soon!

WOW! you just wrote a novelette!
So much to comment on!
mmmm pumpkin rolls
bagels & coffee with a friend is always better than cleaning the house
Emmitt rocks. Mario would be good on broadway - he was way to animated for my taste. It's about the dancer at a whole -right?
You were way OVERDUE for some you time and getting your hair done. So glad it worked out. Love that fresh feeling you have after a good haircut & color and FREE treatments!
I am so behind on my scrapbook magazine reading. Yea for MARIE! But I do want to scrap - but it's so hard to stop buying product & paper!
Learning is serious business for toddlers! "maya do it" too funny
Songs with names of places in them...from around the world- that beach boys, margartiville -jimmy buffet (maybe not appropriate for a dance recital) miami-will smith, ice-ice baby (vanilla ice), country road (john denver)
meeting the parents - big step for christine :)
GO BUCKEYES
I think this is the longest comment I have ever left!
nice :)
i felt it had to be short with the books being written all over the place ;)
Ok...having an 80's moment with the song ideas and I wouldn't be the least offended if none of them make the cut....I just had fun remembering them :-)
Clash - Rock the Casbah
Toto - Africa (a personal fav)
Gogos - Vacation
Murray Head - One Night in Bangkok
Billy Joel - Zanzibar (ok...maybe a little 70's)
Taco - Putting on the Ritz
After the Fire - Der Kommisar
The Manhatten Transfer - Boy from New York City
Emmit is the man and love that a dancer agrees that it was ok that he won.
BIG game tomorrow...never miss it...not for 40 years now (yep...my dad is an alum and I grew up in Columbus so been watching since I was 2.5 months old...)
I would simply love to learn to dance... just thinking.
fun reading your 13.
I hope your hair cut/time off was lovely. I love having someone else wash my hair too.
That's all I have to say, my voice is hoarse after that awesome game!! ;)
i like your long post. sounds like you are having fun!
that's pretty impressive list, missy!
i get scared just thinking about my amazon cart, too. :)
i never thought people might find the 13 on thursday thing weird. i usually struggle by number 13.
How'd I miss this (bloglines must have changed your feed)? We totally keep powdered sugar on tap- you never know when that ingredient is going to sneek up on you!!
